Ås Art and Musical School

Ås Art and Musical School is deeply rooted in one of the Ås municipality’s main goal of being an inclusive and diverse municipality. Ås Art and Musical School is working actively for the multicultural environment in the municipality, and have the role of facilitate the opportunity for everyone to contribute and participate in important social areas, and among other things, ensure immigrants and refugees independence through education, work and social participation. Since 2019 the school has experience by using art and culture activities as an instrument to show the diversity of the local community, and to create equal meetings between people with different backgrounds, experience and culture. The school has been driven in close cooperation with refugee reception center, kindergartens, schools, the cultural center, non-governmental organizations and voluntary. With this experiences the school will provide necessarily capacity to the implementation of the proposed project, as well provide organizing and management experience from a Nordic Countries.
