Mission \u201cANTHROPOS\u201d is a public benefit, non-profit organisation (www.missionanthropos.com) founded in 2010 that is committed to offering free and effective medical care to vulnerable groups -without discriminations about age, race, politics, religion or any other kind- who do not have access to health services and supporting everyone’s right to health.<\/p>\n
The organization’s goal is to protect the health of vulnerable groups and promote their decent living. The organization’s activities and programs are designed after mapping the needs of vulnerable groups in Greece and the developing world, and in Greek society they respond immediately to the medical needs of children and adults, Greeks, immigrants and refugees emerging, especially at a time of socio-economic crisis that has sharpened inequalities.
\nThe organization has carried out three missions in Ethiopia in 2010, 2011 and 2012 and one in Tanzania in 2019, while since 2012 it has launched nationwide actions due to the difficult economic situation in our country.
\nThe organisation is offering medical support to vulnerable groups and individuals, Greeks, immigrants and refugees by meeting their medical needs, providing medical equipment and consumables, implementing preventive medicine campaigns, sending relief items, medical supplies and equipment to medical and social structures.
\nThe organization Mission \u201cANTHROPOS\u201d has almost 10 years of experience in the design and implementation of medical and humanitarian programs with an international scope.
\nIn its programs, since the beginning of its operation, it successfully cooperates with a Network of more than 50 civil society institutions (Hospitals\u2019 Social Services, Municipalities and NGOs) in 10 Prefectures of the country.
\nIt also has the know-how in health issues, as it is a purely medical organization that specializes in identifying medical needs, planning their treatment and practicing preventive medicine. Its members have teaching experience in medical education, as they are doctors, professors in the Medical School, and they are in contact with their projects\u2019 target groups.<\/p>\n
In all its years of operation, the organisation Mission \u201cANTHROPOS\u201d has demonstrated consistency and efficiency in providing services to the beneficiaries of its programs, as well as in providing continuous information to its sponsors and donors.
