Habibi.Works (HW) is an open maker-space, FabLab, and informal education center located in Ioannina, Epirus, Greece. There are three refugee camps located in the Epirus region, one of which is situated directly across from HW. Given this, the overwhelming majority of participants in HW are residents of the Katsikas refugee camp, and currently lead 10/14 of the working areas. As a platform for education, empowerment, and connection in this context, HW seeks to promote the integration of refugees and asylum seekers into Greek, and wider European society.
