Medical Intervention was established in Athens on 8 March 2004. It is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization under the distinctive name: Medical Intervention (Medin). The organization provides humanitarian emergency assistance and development aid to populations of developing countries and to people within Greece, in order to tackle severe humanitarian issues and to support them socially and financially; as well as to contribute to the reduction of poverty. The organization’s action remains independent of local and international political interests and is not involved in any disputes.
