The Whole Story – Inside Story

The Whole Story was founded in 2016 with the purpose of operating the investigative journalism website insidestory.gr. Its aim is to reveal unexplored issues and to showcase the true story behind the news so that readers are made aware of issues underreported by mainstream media. Inside Story’s team believes in independent journalism’s power and its vision is to change the way we write, read and understand the news, and that finally news recipients will be able to play a crucial role in their own political decisions.

Inside story aims at engaging with its readers, which it views as members of its team. For this reason, it organizes numerous activities, such as events about press freedom, and the recurring and internationally acknowledged project #YourStory, a months long project in which readers co-create articles with Inside Story’s journalists, with the purpose of empowering both.

The Whole Story’s activities also aim at checking on transparency and empowering society. For example, it collaborates with the Mati Observer, a longterm research that combines residents engagement initiatives -using community and solutions journalism methodologies- in order to showcase as many issues as possible that relate to the local community.
