The project will address the significant problem of under-reporting of incidents of child abuse and gender-based violence in Greece through the provision of training to social workers and mental health professionals regarding the identification, prevention and ways to deal with such phenomena, as well as raising awareness of the wider public on issues of gender-based violence and child abuse. The training will be provided in the form of educational workshops, through which employees and professionals will gain deeper knowledge and methodological tools to deal with such phenomena.

In addition, film screenings will be held, as well as digital display of images / photos of artists in central spaces of the city of Ioannina, aiming in raising awareness and empowering victims of violence.

Last but not least, a video/spot, promoting the project’s social cause, will be created in order to be presented in local media and social media. With the completion of the project, 100 workers and professionals in the field of social protection will gain deeper knowledge and methodological tools to deal with such phenomena, while 1000 citizens will have obtained awareness and been informed on issues of child abuse and gender-based violence.
