Active Citizens Fund Roadshow in five cities across Greece

The Active Citizens Fund in Greece is supported through a €12m grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway as part of the EEA Grants 2014 – 2021. The program aims to develop the sustainability and capacity of the civil society sector in Greece, and to strengthen its role in promoting and safeguarding democratic procedures, active citizenship and human rights. The Fund Operator for the Active Citizens Fund in Greece is Bodossaki Foundation in consortium with SolidarityNow.

The launch of the programme in Greece will take place in Athens, on February 21, 2019. Information events will follow in four cities across the country, as follows:

  • Thessaloniki, February 26
  • Drama, February 28
  • Patra, March 15
  • Heraklion, March 20

All events are followed by two days of capacity building workshops, to support CSOs, especially small CSOs from rural and remote areas, in putting together their application for the Active Citizens Fund in Greece.
