CSR Institute(2016) underlines that only 65 companies produced CSR report. Despite the fact that SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) constitute a European Directive, only 26% of total budget addresses social causes. Small or new NGOs are rarely funded by CSR (National Social Research Center,2015). According to companies high cost, lack of motives, and lack of managerial- technical skills within NGOs are the most usual challenges they face.
The aim of “Small Buddies” is the empowerment of role of new and small NGOs, through the improvement of their transparency and the creation of tools which enhance the cooperation with companies. Ultimate goal is to enlarge the social impact
Main activities:
-development of a network of new/small NGOs (intermediate entity)
-development of tools, mechanisms and methodologies that contribute to advocacy towards SDGs and connection between new/small NGOs and Companies (Platform, Serious game, E-magazine, Guides)
-advocacy campaigns in cooperation with journalists concerning SDGS and impact of new/small NGOs
The main target group is New/small NGOs which enhance their role and impact on their target groups. Companies that apply CSR actions are also a target group. Foundations and public authorities are secondary target groups.
After the completion of “Small Buddies” 30 NGOs will be members of the network, 30 companies will have get informed for the NGOs of the network and tools created through the project, 10 advocacy campaigns will be completed (5 of them in cooperation with Media)
All the partners are new/small NGOs which focus on enhancing their impact and empowering the role of new/small NGOs in society. Challedu, will be responsible for the coordination of the project and development of game-based tools and guides. Myrtillo will develop the network of NGOs. Kroma will create the e-magazine and together with Humane will cooperate with journalists for advocacy campaigns. Heterart will also be the link between the network and Companies.
