EDRA Social Cooperative Activities for Vulnerable Groups is a civil, non-profit, cooperative organization established in 2001 and dedicated to the promotion of mental health services while safeguarding the rights of social vulnerable groups. EDRA applies a holistic approach regarding its services, offering aid and psychosocial support to various social groups.

The organisation provides mental health services to those living with mental health challenges, support children and their families in overcoming learning disabilities; it also offers special needs education to people with intellectual or other disabilities. It develops or participates in national and European project initiatives for vulnerable social groups, it launchs projects to enable women and men to balance family and work life, while it also offers training programs appealing to various social groups.

Moreover, EDRA constantly expanding its partnerships with Greek and European organizations. EDRA has contributed to the establishment of prestigious national and European networks, being a member of the N.E.F.E.L.E. network (Network of European Art Festivals for mEntal HeaLth Enhancement), president of the ENALMH network (European Network of Active Living for Mental Health), member of Mental Health Europe and EUFAMI (European Federation of Associations of Families of People with Mental Illness), board member of the Hellenic Federation of Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Mental Health Organizations “ARGO”, as well as a member of the Federation of Voluntary Non-Governmental Organizations of Greece.

 

In order to attain our goals, we have established an extensive network of institutional partnerships both at national and European level with higher-education institutions (Athens School of Fine Arts, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens/School of Physical Education and Sport Science) and other relevant institutions (Administrative District of Attica, municipal authorities, etc.).
